Data, comparison, iteration.

January is when I stop talking about events – and start interrogating them.

It’s a chance to take stock. Not just of the highlights, but of how things actually performed.

Which experiences truly captured attention?
Where did interest turn into bidding?
What did over-bids look like on average?
Which categories consistently perform best at certain events?
And which packages look great on paper but don’t quite deliver?

The answers are rarely random. Patterns emerge.

That matters, because optimisation isn’t about adding more experiences.
It’s about doubling down on what works, being honest about what doesn’t, and refining the mix.

Much of this happens behind the scenes. Data, comparison, iteration.
But it’s where the biggest gains for EXCEED GIVING’s charity partners are made.

As we work through the analysis, I’ll share some of the learnings along the way,
grounded in what we’re seeing perform in real rooms, with real donors.
